How much would you pay for one visitor to your website? One visitor who may or may not become one customer.

Well, here are some statistics from Google Adwords for their most expensive keywords. The prices here tell you how much on average you will pay for one click on an ad for the given keyword in Google.

Sharing Statistics for 2011

Here are the sharing statistics for web pages hosted on our servers for 2011. The statistics suggest that:

StumbleUpon is the best place to share content, with an average viral lift of 274% (every shared page gets clicked 2.74 times on average).
There were a lot of people reading shared content in December, probably because of the holidays.
Google+ still isn't nearly as popular as Facebook and Twitter.
No-one uses the Internet in Africa.

Free Support Forum Back Online

Some time ago, we set up a free support forum on the Sunburnt website to answer any questions you had about using our system. Sadly it got a little lost, but now it's back and even easier to use. You can access the forum directly from the Help menu when you login.

Recently we have implemented a new Share widget to make it easier for your visitors to post content from your website to their Facebook, Google+ and Twitter accounts. In fact, they can post your content to over 300 other different websites such as StumbleUpon, Digg, Delicious, and Blogger and also share your content by email. It's like marketing for free.

There is another reason why we recommend adding the Share Widget to your website and that is to share your content yourself. Before adding this widget to the Travel Lifestyle website I regularly wouldn't be bothered sharing my articles with my Facebook friends. Now I can do it in a few clicks and am benefiting not only from more traffic, but from friends re-sharing my content on their wall.

Google places a lot of value on Facebook activity, Twitter Retweets and other social sharing networks, so it is also an opportunity to increase your search engine rankings.

New Automatic Bounce Handling

Just a quick email to let you know we've improved the bounce handling for your mailing lists. Bouncing email addresses are now automatically removed after the fifth bounce.

This means you may notice a drop in the subscriber numbers on your mailing lists, however the new figures will be more accurate as they will not include bouncing email addresses.

For your information, we have added four new global monitoring locations to ensure your website is available around the clock around the world.

These locations are:

This brings our total number of global monitoring locations to 36 and has helped us achieve an uptime of 99.98% over the last three months. Most of that 0.02% time unavailability has been due to the deployment of upgrades.

Dear Sunburnt Customers,

If you've logged into your account in the last 24 hours, you will have noticed that we have upgraded our back-office user interface to make a system more accessible and easier to use.

The biggest change you will notice is that the menu links across the top have gone and we now have a more comprehensive menu on the left of the page. Take a look at the screenshot below.
